GLYNDWR, CYMRU a DEWI SANT?????????

. .
Cardiff Castle flying Baneri Glyndŵr on Dydd Dewi. of course, we would like to see the flag of our National Sovereignty to the fore. After all, it is above and beyond those other two ''younger'' flags of Wales, the one with it's Tudor and 1911 Investiture Connection. The other the ''Anglican Cross'' of 1921. See previous posts for Welsh Flags history. Nationalists, we hope, will give patriotic priority to flying high Baneri Glyndŵr - Baneri Cenedl Glyndŵr - Baneri Cenedl Cymru Rydd. Unfortunatly, this was not the case at the recent Dydd Dewi parade in Caerdydd. Perhaps, its not that surprising really that the parade organisers give such preference to the ''Tudor Flag'' and the nuetral ''Anglican Yellow Cross''. After all, they were marching everyone off to that ''Sham Assembly''. On the whole, I did not see that many 'Baneri Glyndŵr' on the parade and, if Nationalists are to participate in this Parade, they need to show their support to Glyndwr's aim for independence with plenty of 'Baneri Glyndŵr held up high and with pride. Hopefully, the organisers will reconsider their policy of leaving 'Baneri Glyndŵr' out of their march vanguard, I find the acceptance of this policy remarkable when the majority of parade organisers are well known ''Nationalists''. Odd state of affairs to say the least. Is it a ''political'' or maybe kind of ''passive patriot'' decision so as not to upset Dafydd Ellis Thomas and other Devolution politicians down in Bae Caerdydd?

Whatever, we wish the parade well for the future but lets see many, many more 'Baneri Glyndŵr' from now on - and to the fore, not dragging behind, far and few, and looking rather limpish!

Thankfully, a few made the effort to carry forward Baneri Glyndŵr, but, in all, it was a relief to see the parade go on it's way, so I could go for liquid refreshment to the Owain Glyndŵr pub where those ''Younger Flags'' could no longer hurt my patriotic eyes>>>

Bar Tafarn Glyndŵr, the Hayes, Caerdydd, well worth a visit.

Am y tro.
