GLYNDŴR’S FOUR LIONS RAMPANT FLAG! …FLY THEM HIGH!… LET US BEGIN IMMEDIATELY ON THE WORK TO ENSURE THAT CYMRU – GLYNDŴR’S NATION, IS BLANKETED IN HIS FLAG BY 2015.

Without any doubt, when the year 2015 arrives (which is less than two years away) the Brit “ICH DIENERS” will pull out all the stops to celebrate the 600th anniversary of the English victory at Agincourt in 1415 and, without any doubt, the war crime of the murder of unarmed French prisoners by the English, following the battle, will be conveniently forgotten as will the fact that many of Owain Glyndŵr’s followers had been fighting on the French side after they had been forced to leave Cymru – and that many of those, such as Henry Gwyn and his sons, had been killed at Agincourt whilst fighting the old enemy rather than ‘sell out’.

Advantage will be taken of the occasion in 2015 to force feed us with another large spoonful of Tudor and British history – all to the backdrop of a sea of St George’s flags no doubt – and once again, the Shakespeare “spin” will do the rounds of our theaters and schools with the staging of Henry 1V and Henry V which portrays our greatest of patriotic warrior heroes Owain Glyndŵr as a ‘superstitious primitive’ whilst glorifying the English Crown, the Tudors and British Unity to the point of utter tediousness.

Do we really have to endure the above in silence? Of course not! Instead, we could show very clearly in 2015 that not ALL Cymry are servile to the British State. We could clearly show that there are still loyal and genuinely dedicated patriots in Cenedl Glyndŵr (Glyndŵr’s Nation) that will NEVER sell out and we could express this loyalty to Glyndŵr and his nation, and to his aspiration for a free and Independent Cymru by, in the first instance, ensuring that each and every one of us does our bit to ensure that ‘Cenedl Glyndŵr’ has been blanketed by his ‘Four Lions Rampant’ flag by 2015. Our committal to carrying out this simple act will be nothing in comparison to the ‘real’ sacrifices that was made by Glyndŵr supporters in his period, but this symbolic ‘act of defiance’ would be most effective as a strong visual statement that Glyndŵr’s struggle is in continuance throughout Cymru until the ultimate victory of a free and Independent Cymru is achieved.

In the year 2000, on the occasion of the 600th anniversary of the beginning of Owain Glyndŵr’s Great War of Independence (1400) and again in 2004, on the occasion of the 600th anniversary celebrations of Owain Glyndŵr’s crowning as the legitimate and rightful Tywysog Cymru (2004) Embassy Glyndŵr appealed to all Cymric patriots to contribute to the celebrations by ensuring that the whole of Cymru (Cenedl Glyndŵr) was blanketed in the Four Lion Rampant. Many did make the effort but not enough by far to make the desired impact! How much effort does it take to raise a flag on a pole or even to fly one out of a bedroom window. Painting it onto the side walls of houses will take that little bit more effort granted but, what is the point in continuing to talk about ‘Independence for Cymru’ and raising clenched fists in the air whilst mumbling ‘Cymru Rydd’ if we cannot, as a nation even unite in one simple act of solidarity to ensure that Cymru is totally blanketed in the colourful standard of our greatest inspiration for a free and Independent Cymry by 2015. What better way to show England that we will never give up our nation or nationality?

What we’re advocating is a simple symbolic act that could lead to a patriotic awakening throughout Cymru IF each and every one of us who considers themselves to be genuine Cymric patriots makes this smallest of gestures. The responsibility for ensuring the future of our nation as a free and independent Cymru is the responsibility of each and every one of us, there is no justification in shrugging this responsibility in the hope that “others” will step up to the mark. This campaign calls for each patriot to use initiative and just ‘do it’. No need for a 'committee' or 'group' meeting…just do it!

If this most basic of symbolic campaigns cannot be carried out in full via an autonomous campaign by each and every one of us by 2015 to express a strong challenge to English rule, then we might as well all stop daydreaming and kidding ourselves - and others, and throw in the towel. I personally can think of numerous interesting and pleasurable hobbies to fill up the rest of my life with if I find that the cause is over – and that is exactly what I will do if I do not witness a “real challenge” to the British State being expressed throughout Cymru by 2015.

So, who amongst us will ignite the flame of this patriotic resurgence to show clearly that we are not prepared for our nation to undergo another dose of cerebral conditioning in 2015? If you have not yet purchased a Glyndŵr flag, you will find 3’ x’5’ ones in any Siop Cymraeg or, if like Embassy Glyndŵr, you “really” and “clearly” want to show your challenge to the English State, you can order  5’ x  8’ extra large Glyndŵr flags from us for £15 (which includes pxp) but, I must receive your cash along with the order by April 20th the latest. If I order then, the flags will be here by June this year but, I cannot afford to risk ordering these unless each is paid for beforehand. Please send your order with a cheque made out to Siân Ifan, 34, Bethesda Court, Prince of Wales Rd, Abertawe SA1 2EY. Further info if needed can be obtained by e-mail at : s.ifan@ntlworld.com
Don’t forget to include your return address with your order.

Note of interest: Some musicians have expressed an interest in the extra large flags to place as a back drop for their gigs whilst on stage, whilst, on a more sombre note, others have expressed that they would like one to place over their coffins when the day comes for them to join compatriots who have already passed into Ogof Glyndŵr.
