Owain Glyndŵr's Old Dolgellau Parliament House...so far, sadly, a pathetic response to our request to sign the National Assembly On Line Petition to save this important historic building!
However, if you have any other reason for not signing then, again, please do contact me to let me know what that other reason is. Whatever the reason, I'm sure I will be able to help.
You may just not like me - for whatever reason? or may not like Embassy Glyndŵr - for whatever reason, If that's the case, then, I would advise you, if you are "true" patriots to sign the petitions anyway, because, to any "true" and mature patriot, the important issue here is to illustrate to the National Assembly that we, the Cymric nation, want this treasure saved for the nation. This is one of those times where we all have to swallow our pride and forget our differences. We cannot afford not to be an united front on this one regardless of who or what 'patriotic' group launched the petition.
The cost of being 'petty' will be to lose this historic treasure for ever. At the end of the day, Cymru will get what it deserves because of the efforts, or apathy, of those who wish to think of themselves as "patriots" so, please, I will plead once more to those that havent signed, for the sake of the Cymry of the past, present and future, sign the petition.
Siân Ifan
p.s. This petition was meant to end on Dydd Gŵyl Dewi, but, just incase people have had problems signing or whatever, I will postpone its closure to 21 June 2012 (Dydd Coroni Glyndŵr) This will allow more time for all who read this (and who havent signed) to sign the petition, and for they and everyone else to lobby everyone they know to also sign - and for them to go on to lobby others to sign - and so on.. We need to change this petty 154 names to thousands if we are to drive the message home to the Welsh Assembly.
