The Campaign to ensure that the A470 is named after our greatest of Warrior Princes.

I have just checked how many names are on the 'Go Petition' and on the 'National Assembly Petition' on this issue and was astounded to find that only 20 have supported the call on the National Assembly petition whilst 70 have signed the 'Go Petition'! Does this mean that we only have 20 Welsh based patriots who gives a damn on whether this road is named after our greatest of Welsh Warrior Princes or not? Does this mean that every other Cymric patriot in Cymru is quite happy for this road to be named after a regiment who swears allegiance to the English crown? or, named Prince William's Way or some other 'daft' or totally irrelevant name - as per suggestions which have appeared in letters in the Western Mail during the last week!

Off the top of my head, I can think of 100's if not 1000's of people in Cymru that have not, as yet, signed this petition. There may be a logical reason why they havent such as, they mean to do so but havent got around to it yet. If that is the case then, please sign the National Assembly Petition in this link https://www.assemblywales.org/gethome/e-petitions/sign-petition.htm if you are resident in Cymru and the Go Petition in this link http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/campaign-to-name-the-a470-cymru-prif-ffordd-tywysog-ow.html if you are a Welsh patriot living outside Cymru. The National Assembly will only let Cymric constituents sign their petitions but also remember that all residents living in Cymru can sign both petitions.

Please remember that signing this petition is very important if we are to ensure that the road is named after Tywysog Owain Glyndŵr as such would help to ensure that this great Cymric warrior is remembered, by everyone who travels on it, for generations to come. Cymric patriots cannot be parochial in this case, an overall united Cymric front of all movements, societies, councillors, MP's and AM'S is needed NOW if we are to win this one.

Last week, David Williamson, a Western Mail Correspondent, sarcastically remarked that only 5 people had signed the petition to name the road after Prince Owain Glyndŵr, it seems he was totally unaware of the 'Go Petition' petition. Whatever, let's wipe the smirk off his face with 1000's of signatures!

Also, William Powell, a Lib Dem AM, plans to champion the 'royal Welsh' campaign in Cardiff Bay by the laying of a statement of opinion to seek cross-party support. Have we got Cymric Patriots AM's down there that will do the same for the Glyndŵr cause and Cymru! Let's lobby them now!

Last but not least, please sign the petitions and get all your family, friends and acquaintances to do likewise. It will take up 5 seconds of your time tops! Not much to ask considering that we probably now would not have a Cymric language and identity had it not been for the effort and sacrifices made by Owain Glyndŵr and his compatriots! So, let's all unite and do this in honour of Glyndŵr and Cymru!

WHITHER PLAID GLYNDŴR - A New National Independence Party?

Despite the occasional technical hitch which derives from working with computers and which can drive one to a state of furious frustration at times, I must concede that access to the World Wide Web is a wondrous and incredible phenomenon that allows each and every one with access the ability to seek out any information on any topic in the world. For those of us interested in histories and politics, we can, in no time at all, learn about the history and politics of other countries and can compare and seek out the similarities in the historical and political background of those countries with the historical and political background of our own. We can, likewise, keep up to date with the news in regards to current political strategies in other countries and small nation states and compare those with the current political strategies as they stand in Cymru and, as I see it, Cymru has much to learn from other small nations if we are to be totally serious about a national campaign for an Independent Cymru - and 'National' is the key word because, at this present time, we are a nation of people that are at the mercy of 60 "so called" Welsh politicians operating from a glass extravagance in Bae Caerdydd and, out of those, we have a Labour Cabinet who are totally deluded (or are they?) in their belief that they are the "Government of Cymru" when, in reality, they are a 'puppet government' of the English Westminster Government, allowed to exist to carry out their dirty work of exploitation of our Cymric resources.

They know our colonial history as well as anyone, they know about the occupation of Cymru since 1282, they know about the annexation of Cymru via the 1536 Act of Union. They know about the land enclosures, the exploitation of our coal, slate, lead, copper and water resources and they know only too well that whilst all our nationalised industries have been allowed to demise, 100's of thousands, at the least, four generations of our Cymric people have never had an opportunity to work and, as a result have lost the work ethos and have been left in a nightmarish 'no hope' situation. They have been stripped of any dignity and far too many of our youth have turned to a life of crime, drugs and alcohol as a way of life.

Whilst our National Health Service is being grossly underfunded and our hospitals and schools closed one after the other, our 'puppet government' in Bae Caerdydd is thrown a measly few crumbs off the Westminster table to spend on twenty devolved areas including health, education and economic development and then, the English Government has the audacity to even cut that "so called" budget to the bare bones ensuring that the most vulnerable and poorest in our nation is doomed to suffer even further as health, education and economic development is hit hard by these cuts in the so called "Development Budget".

Let us not be under any illusion in regards to what this present "Welsh Government" really is. They are a 'middle management puppet quisling administration of an English and European Unionist rule and will never ever be supportive of full Independence for our nation. It views the Welsh Assembly as merely a 'Wales ally' in the Labour anti Tory platform and if a time comes when Labour gets back into the Westminster Government and Labour is in control in Bae Caerdydd, then, obviously, the ties between the London and "Welsh Government" will be stronger than ever with the Welsh Assembly Government being even more of a 'puppet administration' in Cymru for their London masters - who will continue to control the purse strings and will continue to deny Cymru full power over our natural resources and energy, which could, if we had our own independent government, provide us with the necessary trilions in revenue needed to get our nation back on its feet and thriving.

So when I read such aims as to become a "one planet nation" in the present "Welsh Government's" manifesto, I know that what is really meant is "one corporate planet colony" Simple to understand really. England, who is already helping itself to our water and forestries/wood resources - and has done so for a long time, now needs cheap energy and have come up with new policies (such as TAN 8) to get it. In their stupidity, they have turned to wind and wind farms as the cheapest option of producing this energy (although it isn't of course, as they still need power stations to back up this wind energy) and our beautiful landscape and sacred mountains as just the place to plant as much of these monstrous windmills as they can fit into Cymru. Much better than to plant too many of them in England and destroy England's green and pleasant lands!

The "Welsh Government" is, of course, happy to collaborate to implement such policies in Cymru and yes, we would not expect any better from the other British parties in the glass emporium in Bae Caerdydd but what about Plaid Cymru or the 'Party of Shame' as I now call them? They were leading in a Coalition Government with the Labour party for 5 years (until they lost members in the last election) and were, therefore, complacent in the administration of the TAN 8 policy during that period as well as the 'One Wales' policy which included the building of large scale housing developments along the North Wales corridor. They are also known to be in favour of windmills and are just as happy to receive their 'undeserving' large wage and ridiculously high expenses and live the good life of travel and champagne breakfasts as the other British parties without any pangs of conscience in regards to the desperate economic situation that their fellow Cymry are in!

The time has come to face reality and be truthful, If we allow the status quo to continue, we will not survive as a people. Whatever developments takes place in Bae Caerdydd in the coming years in regards to devolved powers, any government based there will always be a puppet quisling administration - aided by an old 'Taffia and the 'Crachach Newydd' colonial collaborators. The London government will never give Cymru power over her natural resources and whilst they control our natural resources, they will forever control our country. Our "so called" nationalist party has been in existence since 1925; they have collaborated as part of a coalition government in Bae Caerdydd for five years and have failed miserably to deliver to better the lives of the Cymric people. Our nation and its people are suffering greatly because of their continuous reluctance to truly fight for Welsh Independence as a 'true' nationalist party should. The leadership is strutting around like a group of headless chickens and its time they stepped into the shadows to make way for the dawning of a strong and uncompromising Independence party.

Recently, I suggested in an article that I had written, in Cymraeg, for 'Y Cymro' newspaper that maybe the time had come for the birth of a new nationalist party and that this new party should be called Plaid Glyndŵr, and following my recent viewing of the Plaid Cymru conference where, once again, I witnessed some members of the Plaid leadership stating that they were in favour of Independence for Cymru whilst others of the leadership made it clear they were not! I feel, more than ever, that we can no longer afford the time to place our faith in the Plaid/Party of Shame leadership and that the time has come for Plaid Glyndŵr to be born for 'real' to continue the struggle that he started over 600 years ago and sacrificed so much for. I can see it as the only way forward to re-establishing our Sovereignty and winning true Cymric Independence. We certainly will not win it through a Britannic Confederation nor a European Empire, nor through the Green Eco Colony that the Lord Protector, Dafydd Elis Thomas has in mind for Cymru. We will only win our independence through a serious renewed Cymric struggle to restore Senedd Glyndŵr and the re-establishment of the Cenedl Glyndŵr - Cenedl Cymru Rydd that was brought into existence on and about 21 Mehefin 1404.

A serious Plaid Glyndŵr will, at the least, need a sincerely patriotic steering council that's made up of experienced and seasoned politicians, lawyers, accountants, economists, clerics, linguists, fundraisers, organisers, press attache and researchers. This council must be totally dedicated to the cause of fighting for the return of power over our resources so that they can make full use of them to renew the Cymric economy and bettering the lives of every citizen in the Cymric nation. Plaid Glyndŵr would be proactive in the building up of a strong and dedicated nationalist membership base, would formulate a strong manifesto, fight local and county elections but abstain from Assembly and British elections. The aim will be to win as many seats as possible within communities throughout Cymru and make our country ungovernable from London and Cardiff. It will be recognised from the start that re-instating our Sovereignty and winning our Independence will not be achieved by constitutional politics alone and that unconstitutional action will need to be carried out when needed and Plaid Glyndŵr will need to be ready to be at the vanguard of campaigns that need to be fought on all fronts in Cymru.

Plaid Glyndŵr - and Cymru cannot afford the cost of failure - and it won't fail if the Party is constructed carefully and intelligently by the right assemblage of experienced and seasoned people in their fields of expertise. Whilst such is of paramount importance, it is also equally important for those voices of experience to have formulated a full programme of training for younger members of Plaid Glyndŵr. Part of this programme will be for the younger members to shadow each member of the council and also to send them to shadow and learn from ministers in other small nations that have fought or are still fighting for their Sovereignty and independence so that they can return and contribute their new found knowledge to the work of Plaid Glyndŵr for the benefit of the nation.

The above suggestions are merely that, "suggestions" but, being aware as I am, that our nation is being "sold off" on a massive scale to a new age of global capitalists and wind mill robber barons by an ever growing legion of consultants and lobbyists that are latching onto ministers in the Assembly of Appeasement with English Imperialism, I honestly cannot see any other option for our nation if we are to survive and prosper. But, and I cannot stress this enough, Plaid Glyndŵr will only work if the aforementioned experienced and dedicated people get together to form it. I realise, such people are thin on the ground but they are out there - a very few of them are still members of Plaid Cymru - Party of Shame, others have left that Party in disgust but they are now seriously needed by our nation to give birth to Plaid Glyndŵr.

I have been told (or was it a nightmare?) that Royston Jones has stated on his blog that he intends to start a new Nationalist Party at Cilmeri this year. Be very wary, we have been here before. This will be just another Cymdeithas Cyfamod or Welsh Independence Party, both of which Royston Jones became a leading member of and both failed, in disarray, with accusations flying all over the place in regards to spies, informers etc. Despite the fact that I'm very aware of the now established tradition of going to Cilmeri annually to remember the death of Llywelyn 11, I would not consider it to be a suitable venue to launch a serious political party. I, myself, do not go to Cilmeri anymore as I'm very aware of the fact that the Cilmeri rali, unfortunately, has been of more service to WECTU as a "jam pot" than to the cause of Cymric freedom in recent years.

Apart from all that, I am pretty sure that the people needed to start a serious political party such as Plaid Glyndŵr will not be found at Cilmeri. I am happy to admit that I do not have the youth nor the necessary experience to be involved at a top level and neither has Royston Jones, we cannot afford to waste time, energy and resources yet again. A new Plaid President will be in office by the 15th March next year (2012) and there's a serious danger that the new president will be none other than the 'Brit' Lord Protector Dafydd Elis Thomas who is far more interested in towing his cap and licking the asses of English royalty and in being the President of a Green Renewables Republic - serving nothing but Global Corporate Capitalists interests, than in our Sovereignty! And our Independence as a nation is the last thing he wants. Surely, no true Cymric nationalist could remain in Plaid Cymru if this Lord Protector does become President and I can but plead with the very few truly dedicated leading figures in Plaid Cymru, the ones who sincerely care about our nation and its people, and who are not in this cause to feather their own pockets and the pockets of a Taffia/Crachach minority, to rally the right assemblage of dedicated and experienced patriots together to establish the much needed Plaid Glyndŵr.

I would like to suggest the following programme as a means of establishing Plaid Glyndŵr and Efyrnwy as the ideal location to launch the Party. This site, more than any other in Cymru, at this present time, is a stark example of the "selling off" of our nation. The estate, as you all know, is in the process of being sold to an English utility company and a global capitalist renewables company against the wishes of the community so, undoubtedly, it would be the ideal location symbolically to see the dawning of the new Plaid Glyndŵr Independence Party.

I suggest that the first move towards launching the new Plaid Glyndŵr Independence Party should come from within Plaid Cymru and that all the above and below is considered within their membership over the coming months. Then as and when Dafydd Elis Thomas is elected as Plaid President, there is a mass resignation by true nationalists within the Party led by a 'Plaid Glyndŵr Party Collective' who will announce the intention to establish a Plaid Glyndŵr. My reason for suggesting this course of action is due to the fact that I recognise that within and around Plaid Cymru there are true Nationalists who are also politically educated and experienced and I recognise that a new party has a better chance of being founded and will have a better chance of success if it is based on this Nationalist rank and file rather than a disparate collection of a Patriotic Fringe as found at the Cilmeri rali.

I therefore suggest the following programme/time table for the launching and development of the Plaid Glyndŵr Party:

The first task should be the formulating of a Plaid Glyndŵr Constitution and Manifesto. A draft provisional copy of this Constitution and Manifesto can then be put before all those that would be likely members of Plaid Glyndŵr for discussion, additions and adjustments (prior to being finally voted on) at the Community Centre in Llanwddyn on May 28^th (Glyndwr’s birthday) 2012.

Those present will then commit to go back to their communities to hold meetings and recruit members, encouraging they to attend a gathering at Y Plas in Machynlleth on 21 Mehefin 2012 'Dydd y Senedd' at which Plaid Glyndŵr will be established.

I suggest that the official launch be on about 16 Medi 2012 in Corwen with a press launch to publicise the establishment of Plaid Glyndŵr, it's purpose and main Manifesto points.

I further suggest that Plaid Glyndŵr holds its first annual Party Rally on 24th Medi with the theme of the ‘launching of an all Cymru/Wales and international campaign to Save Our Sovereignty’.

The suggested above programme will allow the time for many considerations along with opportunities for the widest involvement of all who sympathise and wish to join and actively contribute time and effort to Plaid Glyndŵr. Such will be transparent and open to all who, in good faith, commit to the success of the Party for the sake of our nation and our people.

The time table above allows for a measured and steady approach to the advance of Plaid Glyndwr. Lets do it now or, the alternative is that our nation dies as a result of being pillaged and plundered into resourceless poverty. As for the name Plaid Glyndŵr, as was the case with the 'Sandistas' and 'Zapatistas', taking the name of a National Hero is not just a matter of 'Iconic' appeal but makes a point in no uncertain terms. In our case, what better as a means of inspiration for our new Independence party than the name of the most heroic of Warrior Princes that we’ve ever produced, the father of Welsh Nationalism and the founder of Senedd Cenedl Glyndŵr Cymru Rydd.

In the past most, if not all, we did as History Enthusiasts was done out of our own pockets, We have in our Gwaith Embassy Glyndwr no membership fee system and we have never made much of appeals for money. Rather we have sought sponsors and pobl Glyndŵr otherwise prepared to do Gwaith Glyndŵr. It has been a sad situation in Wales that many of an often 'Nationalist' persuasion have not always been to the fore in organising or being involved participating in commemoration and celebration of Hanes Owain Glyndŵr as much as they should be at a level other Small Nation Patriots commit to celebrating national heroes and significant National Events. I am thinking here particularly of the East European Nations as Poland and Hungary also the Baltic States. The reason for this possibly being the fact that Plaid Cymru once Nationalist Party no longer wishes to inherit the same enthusiasm that Gwynfor Evans contributed to promotion of celebrating Owain Glyndŵr. Gwynfor was an inspiration, supporter and contributor to both Cofiwn and Embassy Glyndŵr in it's work and commemorations. Not so Plaid Cymru today. Even when they had the chance in the WAG 'One Wales' coalition the Plaid Minister of Heritage A.M. Alun Ffred Jones delivered an Owain Glyndŵr Interpretation Plan that denied Owain Glyndwr true 'National Status' to be commemorated Nationally but made him to be more or less a 'Regional Character' only of interest to 'Cymraeg' speaking Cymru as you will see from below:

I was first made aware of Owain Glyndŵr's connection with Corwen and Caerdrewyn when I lived in Ireland in 1970. The enlightenment came via a fellow "Exile" who was also working and living in Dublin at that time.Upon returning to Cymru, I helped establish the COFIWN remembrance movement and, amongst other commemorative events, initiated the first Annual National 'Dydd Glyndŵr' commemoration in Corwen which lasted for 15 years and included the Caerdrewyn walk. The demise of COFIWN also witnessed the demise of these commemorative events and other celebrative activities in Dyffryn Dyfrdwy. However, in 2004 we helped to organise the first 'Dydd Glyndŵr' commemoration with a highly successful programme of celebrative activities.

Do Remember it's official 'BWRDD YR IAITH' has adopted 16 Medi 'Dydd Owain' (& 11 Rhagfyr Dydd Llywelyn III) and, in theory, Mentrau Iaith Cymru should be pro actively supporting events & activities on these days, as well as organising them ? However, the reality is that some do and some do not? Over the last few years, Menter Iaith Llanrwst has led the way in organising the best local 16 Medi ‘Dydd Glyndŵr’ celebrations. Also, in recent years, the SLEEPING GIANT FOUNDATION has organised a major Owain Glyndŵr festival on Penwythnos Glyndŵr’. What can be done locally? First and foremost carry out a ‘Baner Glyndŵr’ campaign to get your local council to recognise ‘Dydd Glyndŵr’ by flying ‘Baner Glyndŵr’; once you succeed, do let us know so that we can add your success to our ever growing list. Also, likewise, get hotels and businesses to fly ‘Baner Glyndwr’ and inform us of your successes. A great deal more can be done, just use show some initiative and use some imagination but here’s a few ideas:

1: Set up an annual ‘Wythnos Glyndŵr’ Hanes Glyndŵr Exhibition’ at Local Library.

Interesting to see that ‘Windpower Wales’, the windmill company of Eryl ‘Del Boy’ Vaughan had a stand at the National Eisteddfod field this year. There, without any doubt, to ‘hoodwink’ more Cymry to support the growth of his portfolio of ‘next to useless’ Wind Farm projects and to bribe more Cymric communities, institutions and schools with our money.

The truth is that nobody would plant these ineffective wind turbines if there weren’t the ridiculously high subsidies to be had as an incentive for land owners and the renewables developers to plant them.

The Westminster government has pledged themselves (and us) at incredible cost to producing one third of their energy for renewable sources within the next ten years and although there is a variety of renewable sources that they could have chosen from in their endeavours to fulfil this aim, it seems that wind turbines is the preferred choice of the development companies as the planting of wind turbines is the easiest and cheapest way to collect the ROC’s (Renewable Obligation Certificates) that is the subsidy that is paid annually to all companies, and individuals, that produces energy by the means of wind power. This means that each turbine that can produce over 2MW, gets £123,000 before the profit that is made from the sale of the energy is taken into account and, on top of that, there’s a further subsidy to be had that’s equivalent to 100% of the saleable value of the energy produced. So, each of these turbines has got the capacity to earn £500,000 annually and this money comes out of our pockets partly in a hidden cost in our rising energy bills and the rest through taxation.

What other business would get such subsidies for producing and selling something that does not do what is promised on the box because, although the aforementioned turbines may have the capacity to produce £250,000 annually, they don’t produce any energy at all when there’s no wind – and it’s shameful that there are Cymry out there that are fully aware of the ineffectiveness of these metal monstrosities, but who are prepared to take advantage of the poverty of Cymric communities and the financial needs of cultural and other community groups by ‘hoodwinking’ and ‘bribing’ them to have Wind Farms in their communities without giving a ‘hoot’ about the effect of these Wind Farms on the communities or Cymru.

The way these Developers go about their ‘hoodwinking’ and ‘bribery’ is very cynical and underhanded to say the least. E.g. If one of these companies intend to plant a Wind Farm in a community, they have learnt from experience that its essential that they organise a public meeting in that community so that they can carry out their ‘hoodwinking’ exercise and as a means of putting the community off guard, they have found that it is worthwhile to have an ‘indigenous face’ and in Cymru’s case, a ‘Cymric traitor’ present to introduce a slide or film show that shows a few turbines against a blue sky background on a nice sunny day and a farmer in the foreground discussing the annual subsidy he will receive by having the turbines on his land. Then, a discussion will follow and the ‘trump card’ produced where a financial ‘ hand out’ will be offered (our money in reality) to finance a community project if the intended Wind Farm gets the necessary planning permission and licence – and there’s a better chance of this happening if the support of the community is won over of course.

No mention is made in these meetings regards the ‘chaos’ that will be created and that will exist for years on our public highways and the rural lanes of our countryside as these monstrosities are transported to communities throughout Cymru. No mention is made that, of course, roads will need to be widened, roundabouts changed and villages ripped apart to enable transportation. See the web site www.cambrian-mountain.co.uk for a detailed and honest account (that was given by one Development Company) as to what transporting these monstrosities to a site entails.

There is no mention given either of the gigantic holes that will need to be made on the land earmarked for them or of the tons of cement that will need to be poured into each hole so as to ensure a sound foundation for turbines that could be 600ft in height! And there’s no mention of the monotonous sound (which has been described as a cement mixer turning) that will be heard from the propellers as they turn on these turbines. I should imagine that having to listen to this night and day from one turbine would be enough to drive anyone insane so try and imagine the noise from an army of them! No mention will be given of the strobe lighting created on each propeller as the sun shines on them as they turn and that this, along with the unbearable noise, is known to have affected the health of some people. Also, no mention is given that it is estimated that around 350,000 bats as well as 31,000 birds of prey and millions of smaller birds have been slaughtered by the propellers of wind turbines and no mention is made of the fact that there will be a need to erect a pylon and cabling infrastructure throughout Cymru to carry this electricity to England’s national grid and how cases of cancer can increase in our communities as a result of this, and no mention as to how this madness, if allowed to continue, will transform Cymru from being a beautiful land to be envied to being a neglected non-productive wasteland of wind turbines that will, in time, as the subsidies dry up, be abandoned, to rot in their beds of concrete until they fall into the ground to poison our sacred Cymric earth.

But, in the meantime, because our ‘limp Assembly in Cardiff Bay has no say when it comes to planting wind turbines that produce over 50MW here in Cymru and because the Westminster government intends to plant a further 10,000 of these in the U.K. in the next few years – despite the fact that other European countries are abandoning this mad strategy, an army of global Eco-Capitalist companies have now seen their chance to raid the U.K funding available and have turned their attention to Cymru as one of the easiest small nations to ravage. So, we see companies such as RWE/npower renewables (that’s a branch of the German company RWE/Innology) now operating in Cymru. They already own the Taff Ely Wind Farm and have just won an appeal to plant a large Wind Farm on Mynydd y Gwair in the Swansea area. Then there’s Scottish and Southern Energy, a company that has every intention of planting a massive Wind Farm with 105 gigantic turbines on the Pumlumon mountain range, a stone throw away from the Battle of Hyddgen site where our greatest of warrior Prince, Owain Glyndŵr, won a victory over the enemy in 1401. Another Scottish renewables company which has an American Directorate and which has already planted a Wind Farm in Cefn Croes – despite a long 9 yr battle against it by the community, is ‘Scottish Power Renewables’ and they have now started work on the planting of a Wind Farm in the Dyfnant Forest of Powys. Again, in Owain Glyndŵr’s ancestral lands and the massive Norwegian company STRATKRAFT that’s already busily ravaging nations on a global scale has now bought out Catamount Cymru Cyf and are now the owners of Blaengwern and Alltwalis Wind Farms as well as the Rheidol Hydro Power Station after they won the latter on the stock market. And then, we come to United Utilities and FIM Sustainable Timber and Energy LP who have jointly just “purchased” the massive Efyrnwy estate.

The above is merely a taste of ‘who owns Cymru now’; the list could go on and will increase as more global scavengers come out of the shadows. There are already 36 Wind Farms planted in Wales and another 37 in the pipeline.

I am no clairvoyant but I can immediately predict that a large Wind farm is destined for the Efyrnwy estate if that “sale” is allowed to go through as Severn Trent has decided to “sell” the farmland on the estate to ‘United Utilities’ and the forestries to FIM SUSTAINABLE TIMBER and Energy LP. Both companies are English and England based and the latter is happy to boast that they have a global portfolio of forestries and Wind Farms so, no need to stretch the imagination to work out what their plans are concerning Efyrnwy.

United Utilities provides water to the North West of England so, here’s a classic example of one major utility company “selling” a big chunk of Cymru to another alien water utility company. Are Cymru and the Cymry going to benefit in any way at all from this “sale” Of course not, anymore than we did from Severn Trent; we pay the highest water rates in the U.K for our own water!

The “sold” land also includes vast nature reserves and the farms and homes of the local inhabitants who are extremely disappointed that the bid made by the outsiders was favoured to the bid made by Rhys Jones, a local businessman that was intent on keeping the land in Cymric hands and on developing it in a way that would provide long term employment and security for the community. The locals, naturally, are now worried about the future of their livelihood and their tenancies and, following the announcement that the estate had been “sold”, a public meeting was called to air the local concerns but neither Severn Trent or the two English companies concerned bothered to send any representatives to the meeting so, the local inhabitants remain in the dark in regards to their future. A taste of the insulting and non-caring treatment that the locals can expect, no doubt.

It is absolutely unbelievable that our elected politicians, the very people that have been elected to protect Cymru and her communities are allowing the above to happen without making any kind of a stand to stop it. What’s taking place is a serious matter of ‘out of control cheque book conquest’ and if our Cymric politicians and Cymric movements do not campaign and make a determined stand to end this great global sale of Cymric land and assets, we will end up being nothing but a small insignificant asset being tossed around from one portfolio to the next on the global stock market. There will be no need for a government in Cardiff Bay, no point in a Plaid Cymru nationalist party, Llais Gwynedd, Welsh Communist Party or for Cymric pressure movements such as (CYIG (The Welsh Language Society) Cymuned etc to exist.

The business of producing renewable energy is being manipulated by unscrupulous capitalist companies who have turned it into a massive business scam. These people are the ‘Renewables Mafiosi’ without a doubt and their activities are affecting communities and environments world wide as well as in Cymru.

To put the record straight, I am in favour of renewable energy as far as it is possible to generate through natural resources on a community level, by the community and for the overall benefit of every inhabitant of that community. What I’m opposed to is ‘daft’ capitalist ventures such as Wind Farms which are only going to benefit a few land owners and the capitalist Wind Farm developers who care nothing about the consequences of their actions as they destroy the historical and environmental qualities of communities throughout Cymru and, indeed, throughout the world.

It is European Union policies that’s mainly responsible for this new neo-colonial attack on our nation, the same European Union policies that “dictates” that large housing estates must be built all along the A55 corridor in North Wales ready to accommodate the ‘tribal move’ that the European Union “insists” must take place within the European Empire. Yes, it’s one of those European policies that “demands” that each country within the Union must produce ‘renewable’ energy but its our own politicians in Cardiff Bay that needs to be held responsible for rushing to accept and administrate the policy in Cymru without questioning or considering the long term effect of the policy on our nation. And we can thank them, along with Welsh Renewable collaborators, for easing the way for all these global capitalist companies to focus their attention on Cymru as a land to exploit and colonise with 1,000’s of wind turbines. Where these turbines are to be planted brings us to the worst scandal of the lot.

It appears that 40% of Welsh forestries are under the direct jurisdiction of the Welsh Assembly and in their eagerness to rush on with the fulfilling of the European Union and the Westminster government’s directorate to fill Cymru with Wind Farms, they got down to the task of designating areas of Cymru which would be, in their opinion, suitable for large scale Wind Farms – without giving any consideration to the historical and environmental landscapes of the areas chosen for the atrocious and infamous TAN 8 strategy and as a part of this ‘wind milling of Wales’ strategy, the Welsh Assembly is allowing Wind Farm Developers the right to clear millions of trees from Cymric forestries in order to create space for Wind Farms.

Apart from the fact that our forestries are important and priceless economic assets, the removal of the trees from them will change the landscape of Cymru totally. Also, they are beautiful in their wildness and are the habitat of many rare creatures and birds such as the red squirrel and the wild grouse. They are a popular attraction to both tourist and walkers alike and are rich in ancient path and bridle ways. They are as much an essential part of our nation as a nose is an essential part of the face and our politicians in Cardiff Bay are prepared to sacrifice them on an alter of madness! If this happened in the rain forest of the Amazon, every man and his dog would be enraged and would immediately pack a bag and go out there to save the forest but alas, when it comes to Cymru, anyone and everyone is welcomed with open arms to come here to ravage and destroy.

Plaid, of course, is in favour of wind turbines with a few prominent members making a nice profit on the backs of the rest of us but, an answer to the question is long overdue as to why our ‘National’ party has not been heading the battle to safeguard the interest, resources and the historical and environmental heritage of Cymru? Plaid has dropped the ‘Cymru’ from its name so, another question needs to be asked – and answered. A party for what and who are they for by now? I would suggest that they have another name change to PLAID CYWILYDD – PARTY OF SHAME because its shameful that they have been walking the corridors of that ‘sham’ of an Assembly in Cardiff Bay for 12 years and have co-led a coalition party there for the last five years and have done nothing to stop Westminster from filling Cymru up with these cursed Wind Farms. Instead, they’ve embraced them in the same way that they’ve gone along with the plan to build all those houses (that locals cannot hope to afford) along the A55. They are silent in regards to the fact that our forestries are being cleared to make place for Wind Farms and have stood by and watched the Efyrnwy estate being “sold” to capitalist outsiders. SHAME ON THEM!

If PLAID CYWILYDD – PARTY OF SHAME is not prepared to get serious in regards to protecting Cymru and her communities, and is not prepared to stand up to the Westminster Government and fight for total control over all our resources and assets before they all end up on the Global stock market, then there’s no point in that party being in existence.

There’s a three month’s consultation taking place at this moment before completion of the “sale” of Efyrnwy takes place in the Autumn so, why doesn’t PLAID CYWILYDD – PARTY OF SHAME now show the nation that they are “for real” in regards to safeguarding the interests and resources of Cymru by, as a starting point, organising a National rally at Llanwddyn to show support to the community on the one hand and, on the other, to initiate a National campaign to stop the sale going through at all.

After all, most of the Efyrnwy estate was common land until the English Government passed a law in 1880 that allowed Liverpool Corporation, despite strong local opposition, to build the massive reservoir there. Homes were demolished and the first village of Llanwddyn was totally destroyed as has happened on many occasions since. The estate, and the reservoir, was transferred to Severn Trent in 1974 and they have the audacity to think that they have the right to sell it!

The message must be delivered loud and clear to Severn Trent, United Utilities and FIM Sustainable Timber & Energy LP that the Efyrnwy Estate belongs to Cymru and despite the fact that Liverpool Corporation and Severn Trent have been stealing Cymric water from it since 1889, Cymric people intend to take this land and the reservoir back and we will not be paying them, or any other capitalist colonist, for what is already ours. If the above named companies are allowed to get their claws into it, they will waste no time in clearing its forestries of trees to make way for more Wind Farms. PLAID CYWILYDD – PARTY OF SHAME cannot possibly allow this sacrilege to happen again surely? It’s well overdue that they lead the rest of Cymru in resistance to this ravaging of our land and, at the least, show willing and make a determined attempt to protect what’s left – as the brave Machupe Indian tribe have been doing for years in Chile/ Patagonia with their ‘serious’ battles against the ravaging renewable company STRATKRAFT, yes, the same STRATKRAFT that is now ravaging in Cymru.

We will see if PLAID CYWILYDD – PARTY OF SHAME will come off the fence for once to “really” battle to save Efyrnwy and get our assets back but, don’t hold your breath in anticipation that this is likely to happen. If Efyrnwy is to be saved, then all Cymric movements and societies must rally together to stop this sale from going through. It’s summer, so why not assemble an united front ‘Defence Camp’ on the estate and produce plenty of banners and placards carrying suitable slogans that will drive the message home. Also, whilst up there, time could be put to good use with the building of a ‘tai – un nos village’ on the estate and a Rock and Folk festival, with a possible heading of “CYMRYD Y TIR YN ÔL’, could be organised and held as a means of raising money to fund this present campaign as well as the other campaigns that are to follow, as these new capitalist Wind Farm robber barons will need to be chased from our land once and for all and new ventures for renewable energy initiated in our communities by the community and for their benefits only.

Also, there will be a need in the years ahead to stop the turbines from reaching those sites that have already received a licence to plant them and our forestries will need to be safeguarded against future threats to them.

Apart from PLAID CYWILYDD – PARTY OF SHAME, which Cymric movements and societies have got the resilience of the Mapuche to initiate the Battle of Efyrnwy I wonder? How many encampments can be had up there and how many ‘tai –un nos’ are we going to see built. If a ‘real’ stand is not made now against these capitalist ‘renewables’ scavengers, you may, one day,

The Embassy Glyndwr contribution is with Cefn Caer in organisation of the annual Ardd Arwyr Glyndwr ceremony there and organisation of the Coron Glyndwr procession that delivers Coron Glyndwr into the hands of the Mayor of the Town as symbolising the return of the Crown to Senedd Glyndwr for the day of the Festival as representing the 21 Mehefin 1404. There is no reason why any number of national Organisations, Societies and Groups of Political, Cultural or Social nature cannot participate and make good contribution. The hope is to see grow a major National Ceremony as Tynwald Day on Isle of Man with associated festival of a multitude of activities in and around the Town. This may me made possible at first in an 'Autonomous' Fashion as was the great commemoration in 2004 to mark 600th anniversary of 1404, this simply means those who want to make a contribution just go and do so. Of course it would on the whole insure greater success if the local organising committee acted also as a National Liaision and Coordinating Committee and called a National Festival Conference early in the year. This conference would then work out a plan of greater growth potential year by year for the ceremony and the festival, this requires ambitiously thinking big. Maybe Machynlleth Council should send a deputation to study events and activities on the Isle of Man so they come to realise fully what potential there tuely is in Dydd y Senedd - Dydd Y Coroni Glyndwr - Sofraniaeth both at home and abroad.

The Owain Glyndŵr Parliament Centre at Machynlleth has received £270,000 from the Welsh Assembly to upgrade facilities at the building and for the provision of the 'State of the Art' exhibition and Carwyn Jones, the First Minister of the Welsh Assembly, is to officially open the Parliament Centre at 2pm on Saturday the 18th of June. (Next Saturday)

As you will see from the poster below, the annual parade to display the 'Glyndwr Crown, our symbol of Cymric Sovereignty) will commence from the war memorial (close to M.O.M.A.) AT 11am sharp. We, at Embassy Glyndŵr, strongly feel that this annual parade to illustrate that our Cymric Sovereignty is well and truly in tact is more important than ever this year after we witnessed the sickening English "pomp and pageantry" display that took place at the official opening of the 4th Welsh Assembly at Bae Caerdydd last week with prominent "so called" Cymry openly drooling in their eagerness to "ass lick" the English Monarchy present! And, if that in itself was not enough to make those of us with the strongest constitutions reach for the bucket! we had to witness Dafydd Elis Thomas, the biggest 'quisling' since the days of George Thomas, proudly declaring in media interviews that we are, after all, strongly tied to and part of the U.K.!

He was talking on your behalf, do you agree with him? If not, then please do come to Machynlleth next Saturday to parade with 'Coron Glyndŵr', the symbol of the 'Sovereignty' of our nation.

Bring your families, its of the utmost importance to ensure that the next generation familiarises themselves with this most important of annual parades and ceremonies so that they can carry on with it and pass the responsibility down to future generations of Cymry - if our 'sovereignty' remains intact - and that is totally dependent on us all uniting at times like this to do our bit (rather than sit at home or spend the day on the beach or shopping or whatever) and not leave the responsibility on others.

So, if you disagree with the arch traitor Dafydd Elis Thomas, take part in the 'Displaying of the Glyndŵr Crown' parade and stand with us, united, by the Owain Glyndŵr memorial that's located on the green at 'Y Plas', Machynlleth and state, loudly and clearly, that you do not consider yourself to be a citizen of the U.K. but, rather, you are a Cymric citizen of Cenedl Glyndŵr.

As always, bring plenty of Glyndŵr flags to display where your allegiance lies.

If you're a musician or singer, bring your musical instruments or voice. There are at least 8 pubs in the town of Machynlleth so, after the parade, let's fill the town with music. Outside these pubs if Glyndŵr is in control of the weather and inside if he's not.

Byddai chwifio’r ‘Ddraig Goch’ - baner y Tuduriaid a atgyfodwyd gan Lloyd George ar gyfer Arwisgiad 1911 ddim yn gwneud y tro. Os gwneir yr ymdrech a ofynnir amdano gan bob gwladgarwr yng Nghymru, bydd tirwedd ein cenedl yn fôr o felyn a choch 'Pedwar Llew Rampiant’ Owain Glyndŵr erbyn Ebrill 29ain ac yna, gellir gadael y faner i chwifio ar gyfer dathlu penblwydd Tywysog Owain (28 Mai) Dydd dathlu ei goroni a Dydd y Senedd (Mehefin 21) a Dydd Glyndŵr (Medi 16) wrth gwrs. Mae trefnu picnic neu farbiciw yn ddigon rhwydd ac rwy’n siŵr byddai modd o gael hyd i ‘glerwyr Glyndŵr’ ac artistiaid eraill (cwmnïau pypedau, storïwyr ac ati) a fyddai’n barod i fynychu i gyflwyno adloniant ar gyfer y plant yn rhad ac am ddim?

Ble bynnag yr ewch, gellir mynd a baner Glyndŵr gyda chi a/neu rhai bach y gellir eu gosod ar ffenestri’ ceir.
Hwyrach bydd y gwladgarwyr mwyaf gwrthryfelgar yn eich mysg am gynnal protest a does ddim lle gwell i wneud hynny ar y 29ain o Ebrill eleni nag o gwmpas y gofeb sydd wedi ei chodi i goffau dewrder Llywelyn ap Gruffydd Fychan yn Llanymddyfri. Mae’n fwriad gan drigolion Llanymddyfri i gynnal parti stryd yn sgwâr marchnad y dref ar y 29ain - yn yr union le lle dienyddiwyd Llywelyn ap Gruffydd Fychan yn y modd mwyaf creulon a ffiaidd posibl. Yn olaf, hoffwn awgrymu y dylai Cymry Llundain drefnu gweithgaredd ar y 29ain o Ebrill yn Ardd Sant Switan yn Ninas Llundain fel modd o ganolbwyntio meddyliau pobl ar y ffaith mai Catrin oedd ein tywysoges olaf ac nid Diana na kate Middleton. Yn ogystal, gellid gosod torch yn Marble Arch i gofio am Rhys Ddu o Geredigion, un arall o gapteiniaid ac Arwr Glyndŵr a lusgwyd (wrth gael ei wawdio) ar hyd strydoedd Llundain cyn iddo yntau gael ei ddienyddio yn yr un modd creulon a ffiaidd a Llywelyn ap Gruffydd Fychan.

Beth bynnag ydych yn dewis ei wneud neu le bynnag dach chi’n dewis mynd ar y 29ain o Ebrill, cofiwch wneud yr achlysur yn ŴYL BANERI GLYNDŴR. Please read the points (in the link above) I make in this review and critique and if you agree with what I say, complain to Cadw and Alun Ffred Jones in regards to the way that Cadw thinks they can deal with the history of Owain Glyndŵr in their 'Interpretation Plan'. If not enough of us officially complain, Cadw will continue to misinterpret our history. Are you prepared to allow them to continue to do so?

Ysgrifennaf y deyrnged yma i Robat ap Steffan (neu i ‘Castro’ fel ac adnabuwyd e’ gan ei gydwladgarwyr a chyfeillion hir dymor) â thristwch enfawr.

Bu i Castro ein gadael bore Mawrth, Ionawr yr 11eg, wedi brwydr a chancr; roedd yn un o feibion Cwm Rhondda ac fel mab o’r cymoedd glofaol yma, roedd wedi etifeddu’r angerdd tanllyd hwnnw sydd wedi ei wreiddio’n ddwfn i eneidiau disgynyddion y Cymry hynny yn y Cymoedd a orfodwyd i frwydro, un ffordd neu’ gilydd, dros eu tiriogaeth, eu bywoliaeth a’u hunan-barch.

Bu i’r cymoedd meithrin Castro i fod yn bersonoliaeth llawn bywyd, caredig a hoffus a fyddai’n mwynhau dim yn well na chymdeithasu a thynnu coes yn ddireidus gyda’i ffrindiau niferus.

Roedd hefyd, wrth gwrs, yn wladgarwr ymroddgar, yn aelod o Blaid Cymru a sawl mudiad arall ers y 60au. Bu’n gefnogwr brwd i Ymgyrch Gwrth Arwisgo 1969 ac i’r F.W.A ac yn ddiweddarach, i Cofiwn ac i Lysgenhadaeth Glyndŵr - ac onibai am ei ymrwymiad, a’r holl waith caled a wnaed ganddo i sicrhau cofeb deilwng ar weddillion Castell Llanymddyfri i goffâu dienyddiad arswydus Llywelyn ap Gruffydd Fychan ar y safle yn 1401, byddai’r gofeb honno byth wedi gweld golau dydd.

Gwladgarwr Cymreig a chymeriad unigryw arall wedi ei gymryd oddi arnom cyn ei amser; bydd gwacter enfawr ar ei ôl.

It is with great sadness that I write this tribute in memory of Rhobert ap Steffan or ‘Castro’ as he was fondly referred to by his long term friends and compatriots. Castro quietly passed away in the early hrs of Tuesday 11th January following a battle with cancer, he was a son of Cwm Rhondda and had inherited that fiery passion that is so deep rooted in the psyche of the descendents of a Cymric people that have always had to battle over the centuries, one way or another, for the right to survive in their valley communities.

These valleys had moulded him to be what he was, a high spirited, warmhearted likeable personality who thoroughly enjoyed socializing and a good old banter with his many friends and associates.

He was also, of course, a dedicated Welsh patriot, was a long standing member of Plaid Cymru and since the 1960’s had been an active member of many Welsh movements including the Swansea based Young Nationalist Association and C.Y.I.G. He had also actively supported the 1969 Anti Investiture Campaign and had supported the F.W.A and later, Cofiwn and Embassy Glyndŵr – and had it not been for his hard work and sheer determination to see a gigantic memorial raised on the remains of Llanymddyfri castle to commemorate the gruesome slaughter of Llywelyn ap Gruffydd Fychan there in 1401, it is very unlikely that this memorial would have seen the light of day.

Another unique Cymric patriot and character taken from amongst us long before he should have been. Castro, you will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts at this very sad time are with Marilyn (his wife), his children, Sioned, Iestyn and Rhys and with his sister Jill.

Cefais y fraint a’r pleser o gwrdd â sgwrsio ag ef yng Nghefn Caer ar Fehefin y 18fed eleni wedi iddo ddod yno i ddadorchuddio copi Cefn Caer o Lythyr Pennal. Roedd Richard yn berson addfwyn a charedig dros ben, yn wladgarwr ymroddgar a fyddai bob amser yn barod ei gymwynas. Bu’n gefnogol iawn i Lysgenhadaeth Glyndŵr ar hyd y blynyddoedd ac i ‘Cofiwn’ cyn hynny - a phan ofynnwyd iddo ddadorchuddio’r Llythyr yng Nghefn Caer yn fis Mehefin, cytunodd yn syth er nad oedd mewn llawn iechyd. Cawsom ddiwrnod arbennig yng Nghefn Caer y diwrnod hwnnw a gwn fod Richard wedi mwynhau’r achlysur yn fawr iawn. Byddaf yn trysori'r cof ohono ar y prynhawn heulog hwnnw, yn y berllan hyfryd (sydd bellach yr Ardd Goffa i Arwyr Glyndŵr)yn gwenu'n siriol wrth ddarllen y placiau sydd yno'n barod i rai o'r arwyr..

Heb amheuaeth, roedd Richard yn un o ‘Bobl Glyndŵr’ a diolchaf i Dduw am y cyfle i ddod i adnabod a chydweithio a gwladgarwr Cymreig mor ddiffuant ac annwyl. Mae'n amser trist a Bydd colled mawr ae ei ôl i'r genedl, Llysgenhadaeth Glyndŵr a Chefn Caer a gallaf ond Estyn fy nghydymdeimlad mwyaf dwys i'w deulu.

It was with great sadness that I heard this morning that Lord Richard Livsey has passed away. I had the privilige and pleasure of meeting him just over two months ago when he came to Cefn Caer in Pennal to unveil Cefn Caer's copy of the Pennal Letter. Richard was an extremely kind and gentle person. He was a dedicated Welsh patriot that was always ready and willing when called on for assistance. He had been very supportive of Embassy Glyndŵr's work over the years and of Cofiwn's work prior to that - and when he was approached to unveil the 'Letter' at Cefn Caer in June, he eagerly accepted the invitation - despite his ill health. We had a very special day at Cefn Caer that day and I know that Richard really enjoyed the event and I will always treasure the memory of him on that sunny afternoon, strolling around the beautiful and tranquil orchard (which has become the Glyndŵr Heroes Memorial Garden) with one of his usual wry smiles as he read the inscriptions on the memorial stones that had already been placed there by representitives of a number of communities throughout Wales in memory of their local 'Glyndŵr's hero.

Without any doubt, Richard was one of the 'Pobl Glyndŵr' and I thank God that I had the opportunity to get to know and work with such a genuine Welsh patriot and gentleman. This is a sad time and a great loss for our nation, Embassy Glyndŵr and Cefn Caer and I can but convey our deepest sympathies to his family.

This is indeed a major ground making national initiative and although Embassy Glyndŵr had issued a call for a 'Welsh History Month' as far back as 2006 (visit link below) it is thanks to the present endeavour and the enterprising foresight of the Western Mail that we now see this initiative come to fruitition

Whatever, let's give thanks that at long last, our call has been taken up. This is to be a major Initiative involvingUniversities, Schools and communities. The Western Mail's Saturday Supplement will carry a 25 part series of articles under the heading 'The New History of Wales'. It will be interesting to see in which way 'new' - and whilst much in our history needs to be looked at with a new and fresh prospective, hopefully, there will be no chucking out of any 'babies' with the bath water! We will eagerly and optimistically wait to see.

So, make sure you tell one and all about this New History of Wales/Western Mail initiative and tell one and all to go and buy the Western Mail over the coming months and buy copies as gifts for family, friends and why not for your babies's 'Time Boxes' if they are not of School age?

As far as I am concerned, I will, of course, be paying close attention to this 'New History of Wales' initiative - particularly regards the Owain Glyndŵr history.

I am already working on an assessment of the Cadw Euro - Heritage Tourism Initiative 'Owain Glyndŵr Interpretation Plan' so it will be useful to compare what the historians of this 'New Welsh History' will have to say about OwainGlyndŵr and his life and times.

Once completed, copies of my Assessment will be presented to the Cadw officials managing the 'Owain Glyndŵr Interpretation Plan' and to Alun Ffred Jones, the Minister of Heritage at WAG. It will also be posted on a blog. I will, of course, alert you all to this when it does. In the meantime, see below

My assessment will be based on a 77 page Cadwcommissioned Owain Glyndŵr Interpretation Plan, for which a consultant has been paid the sum of £20.875. I, of course, am conducting the assessment for nothing - as usual, as I feel, after reading the Interpretation Plan that, although some parts of it are fine, there are some areas that are unacceptable as they stand and attention needs to be drawn to those areas, so watch this space for more news on this issue soon.

My new T Shirt:

I have produced (partly silkscreen printed and partly hand printed) a limited edition of 'I'R GAD...GYDAG OWAIN GLYNDŴR' T shirts for children from the age of 5 - 13 although, the ones for 13 yr olds could also pass for a small women's size. I produced these (mainly) with the Abercraf Owain Glyndŵr Festival in mind as that event is well attended by children so this is a rare opportunity for them to get an Owain Glyndŵr statement t-shirt. (see pic below)

These T shirts will be on sale at the Abercraf Owain Glyndŵr festival for £5. 99 - a ridiculous price really as they are a partly hand printed limited edition (35 in all) which took me hrs of valuable time to do. But anyone who would like to have one may contact me after this weekend to see if there are any left but posting them will require an additional £2 per t-shirt to cover the pxp. I will not be producing anymore of these as I do not have the time or the finances to do so but, if anybody out there would like to have my art work to mass produce these T-shirts then, please do contact me on 01792 533806 so that we can come to an arrangement.
